A great day was had by all
The photograph below was taken on Saturday 15th July 06, during the opening of the Gardens of Heathside House by the mayor and Mayoress of Surrey Heath, Councillor Keith Bush and Mrs Sue Bush.

The Photograph shows from Left to right:
Terrence Beaumont Chairman of the Heathland Conservation Society (HCS), The Mayoress- Mrs Sue Bush, The Mayor- Councillor Keith Bush and Ms Frances Conelly whose Garden was opened to the public.

For the first time ever, the beautiful gardens of Heathside House Camberley, were opened to the public for two days on Saturday and Sunday the 15th and 16Th July 06. This event was opened by the Mayor and Mayess of Surrey Heath in support of the Heathland Conservation Society (HCS).

The gardens were opened to raise the profile of HCS and to give the members of the public the opportunity to learn of the important work carried out by this unique Society over the past ten years or so, not only the normal practical conservation work but also in the prevention of "Third Party Damage" to the natural environment. HCS works very closely with County and Local Councils, several Police Forces, English Nature and representatives of the three largest land owners who own the vast majority of SSSI /SPA designated land in Great Britain and other Agencies. There is no other known voluntary organisation involved in the aspects of work involving legislation that HCS is concerned with.

The Society urgently wants to resume working with Scouts, Schools and the Community Services which had to be stopped when the vehicles (4x4s and tipper trailers) had to be withdrawn for commercial reasons. The proceeds will go towards this goal.

Have you bought a MINIBIKE for yourself or maybe for your children?
Where did the retailer advise you where to ride it? They should have said on PRIVATE LAND ONLY WITH THE CONSENT OF THE LAND OWNER, that is if the land owner is authorised to give permission, or of cause on an official track.

Any owner of a MINIBIKE riding it on any land without the land owners permission can at the best have their bike confiscated or at the worse face a £20,000 fine and lose the bike if the land is protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act section 28.

Remember anyone riding or driving a mechanically powered vehicle on land where the public have access must also carry a valid third party insurance or a public liability insurance.
